I completed my sound engineering studies in Cape Town and moved to Johannesburg 15 years ago to start working in the film industry as a location sound recordist for Kagiso Educational TV. After a two year period at Kagiso I built up a network of Cameramen who frequently checked my availability to shoot with them. I then decided to commit to my vocation as a sound man on a freelance basis in the film industry. I continued my profession as a sound recordist in JHB and was often hired by a company called Pam Devereux Harris Productions in Mellville, Jhb for various programs on Channel O. I travelled with Andrew Wessels the in house director and his production team for Devereux Harris to Amsterdam to cover WOMAX as the South African Sound Engineer. Since then I have worked on many productions across the world and have travelled to many countries for work in my capacity as a location sound recordist. I am currently based in Cape Town but still own premises in Johannesburg and work as local crew in both cities. I mostly work now days on feature films, commercials and documentaries but generally enjoy what I do and appreciate all genre's of story telling through film.
